Aging, Family & being Thankful
Posted in Uncategorized with tags Aging, Love on February 26, 2008 by jostheunYou know as I get older I look back and remember things that happen to stand out from the past. I tend now to look in the mirror and see the little changes happening in my face as we age. I see the wrinkles, I see a different expression, then I see the generations of past family members and I can only hope that (in one way or another) they can look at me with some form of pride.
I have to wonder if anyone else feels this way also? I guess as we get older we look back and think, hmm, could I have, should I have, but at the same time accept what we have accomplished to that point. Though I’m not that old…cough, cough, late 30 something, I have thought about what my life has meant to this point.
Really I just hope I’ve done my family proud, from the little things we do when we are young, to the things we say that we never meant. All I know is that I love my family, though not easy to always express, it’s ALWAYS understood.
I feel thankful, loved and very grateful.
Going to Alabama
Posted in Uncategorized on February 26, 2008 by jostheunOk, in 2 weeks we are going on vacation to Coden, AL. I never thought of myself as going to Alabama at any time, especially for vacation! Although, my Aunt (who is more like a sister) moved down there recently, has graciously opened her home to us and the rest of the family. It’s right along the gulf shore and is really beautiful. So kudos to Alabama for something nice. Please no hate mail because I’m not crazy about Alabama please! lol
Interesting People Needed
Posted in Uncategorized on February 26, 2008 by jostheunOk is it just me, or do others find that people online (bloggers) tend to be more interesting online than in person? Is it because we feel we can open up more here than in real life? Or is it that we are looking for something more than what everyday life offers?
I like to think people are nice but I’ve noticed they are nicer and interesting online? Hmmmmm
