I was sitting here tonight watching T.V. Oprah’s “The Big Give”, when I realized how much time we waste. I feel ashamed that I don’t do more to volunteer my time or try and make a difference in someone else’s life, though I don’t have it made, I have more than my fare share. I thank God everyday that I am healthy and have the things I do, but I also realize that it isn’t just God that decides these things, “we do” within ourselves, and it’s up to us to make things better or to try and change things for the good. God gave us that will, one will that I have neglected, but no more. Therefore, I am asking people what they think “they or I” can do to make a real difference, a real change in the lives of others. Not just a hand out to others, but a way to make things better for the world. Any thoughts??

We did so much, the beach, the food, the site seeing and plain ‘ol resting. One thing hit me though on the drive home…11 hours by the way..haha…I realized that the Aunt (more like sister) that moved to Coden and the Gulf would not be just 3 hours away any longer and that a weekend together wouldn’t be as easy any more. I was a little saddened but realized that my sadness was for me only, as I am SO happy that she is happy and enjoying life and doing what she wants now. And that we are always close and in each others hearts. I think I realized that with my whole family this past week. I changed, it changed me. I realized I have more love in my heart than I ever thought I did. What a great Vacation it was!

WINTER!!!

I am in St. Louis and this winter has been bad….this morning, it hasn’t snowed much YET! But it did sleet, so on my way to work, my brakes froze up and I slid across a stop sign…fun! Luckily I didn’t hit anybody but still. So here I am missing work, because I can’t make it in….rrrrrr Not that missing work is horrible but only when you want to!
Oh and by the way, we are supposed to get up to 10″ of snow today….rrrrrrrrr
