True Story ~
A local hospital recently gave all their employees $20 as a stimulus fund for the local economy.
“A man and his wife – he being treated for cancer and her blind, they have an 8 months old baby.” The father was being treated at this hospital and lost his wallet with his last $20 in it. This money was all he had to feed his baby ~ and before you judge, he does work “hard” but they have heavy medical bills to pay. Anyway, a worker in the hospital found his wallet and was able to locate the man by his treatment card in the wallet. After hearing the story from the man and meeting his wife and baby; the woman went to her coworkers and several of them donated their $20 stimulus to this family so that baby could be fed and show some form of paying it forward.
Point of this story – it doesn’t take much to make a difference right now. The 1 kind gesture you do can/will trickle down and have the most profound effect on another person’s life. So next time you are in a hurry and just want everyone out of your way and think you are the only one with problems, stop and breath and think what you do have. What makes life happy, worth living and the reason to get up everyday.
I don’t have much, but what I have I cherish.
